Preservation Hall Jazz Band has recruited Yola and the Soul Queen of New Orleans herself, Irma Thomas, for the group’s upcoming benefit concert at City Winery in New York City. Set for November 4, the show will benefit the Preservation Hall Foundation and its “Pass It On” campaign, the aim of which is to provide a facelift to the historic space next door to the Hall, which will serve as a new campus facility to “employ dozens of musicians, host music education programs, exhibitions, artists in residence, musician support, and intergenerational mentorship.” More guests for the event will be announced soon.

Tickets for the event are on sale now: general admission can be found here, and VIP tix are available here.
