LA noise rock act HEALTH took their signature brand of sonic destruction to the dance floor with their latest album Death Magic. Now, thanks to the Song Exploder podcast, listeners can get a better idea of how they pulled off such an uncanny hybrid.
Below, you can listen as singer/guitarist Jake Duzsik and bassist John Famiglietti break down the component parts of the band’s pounding single “Stonefist,” which apparently took inspiration from Lady Gaga, the idea of anti-love, and a cartoon punching sound effect.
