In name and sound, there is a cultish feel to the aesthetic of bands like Black Lips and The Strange Boys, and quite often, the root of that feeling can be traced back to the Kool-Aid being served by the guys at Burger Records. Dead Ghosts are one such band that have been sippin’ on the Burger juice of late, and as noted in their new video, they don’t believe in wasting even a single drop.
“Drink It Dry” is the first taste from the Vancouver group’s upcoming third album Love and Death and All The Rest, which was self-produced and recorded in a barn, and is forthcoming from Burger in October. Along with the song—a twisted piece of cabin-psych—the band also has been kind enough to lend us a VHS of the music video, which features the ever-present ghoulish themes of the band mixed together with some mystery cocktails (served with a side of dragonfly).
