The producer gives the song a trance-leaning vibe, cooking up some melodic synth pads and adding layers of hazy ambiance to Robyn’s vocal line. Few are better at building to a singular catharsis than Jamie xx, but here he moves away from what’s expected, resolving the tension with a simple breakbeat before throwing in some grimy techno elements. Cool job here, Jamie.
