FLOOD has teamed up with Amoeba Records in Hollywood for the official Gimme Shelter: Songs for LA Fire Relief launch party. Set for Tuesday, December 16 at 5 p.m., the event will include the opportunity for attendees to win some amazing prizes from Amoeba and Shepard Fairey—and get a first listen to songs from the benefit project. Fans can purchase the album—highlighted by rare tracks from Elliott Smith, The Flaming Lips, Rilo Kiley, Local Natives, Chromeo, Norah Jones, and more—on double gatefold red vinyl. The cover art, signed by Shepard Fairey, will also be available for purchase for $100.
Raffle prizes include OBEY canvas totes and sticker packs donated by Fairey, along with Amoeba gift certificates and more. Visit Amoeba’s website here for more information, and check out the poster for the party below.
Proceeds from album sales directly support wildfire relief efforts in Altadena and Pacific Palisades, via the Gimme Shelter Collective, FLOOD Magazine’s sister nonprofit and community of musicians, artists, creators and non-profit organizations.
