If you’ve spent your entire life moaning about not having George Michael’s 1987 debut solo LP on vinyl, I hope you’ve kept the faith, because Faith will return to the format on February 20. The album will be available on red and black marble vinyl, picture disc, and both one-LP and two-LP black vinyl. The project will arrive via Sony Music and will also be available on audio Blu-ray.
The album was a massive hit upon its release nearly 40 years ago, sort of recalibrating the hierarchy of pop music during that era. At the age of 24, Michael managed to move more records than Michael Jackson, Madonna, and Prince—widely considered the holy triumvirate of ’80s pop (at least by me). He also took home the GRAMMY for Album of the Year. Celebrate that win by buying Faith on vinyl.
