Last we heard from Philadelphia’s SNACKTIME, the soulful genre-fusion septet was paying homage to two of their biggest influences who also aptly summarize the breadth of the group’s sound: Brian Wilson and D’Angelo, two of several musical titans we lost in 2025. The track dropped after a short series of other loose singles from the band, which in turn followed a pair of WXPN live recordings which are suddenly in-season again.

Although the band is currently dodging the near-freezing temperatures of their hometown with a brief West Coast tour, they managed to brave the cold weather prior to this trek in order to film a “Neighborhoods” session back in Philly. Stripped down to the trio of Nico Bryant, Eric Sherman, and Larry Monroe Jr., the clip sees them performing their 2025 single “SUNSHINE”—a song so powerful it’s now proven that it can change the weather in real time. “We recorded this outside our studio in Philadelphia during a rare break from the cold weather,” the band shares. “The sun was out and energy was up, so we decided our song ‘SUNSHINE’ felt perfect to try to keep the sun around a little longer.”
