So far, alt-pop songwriter Ally Evenson has shared five tracks from her upcoming second album, Speed Kills, with nearly as many visual accompaniments. Like the singles themselves, Evenson’s music video collaborator Antony Muse has a colorful vision for the artist’s aesthetic world, with the pointed lyrics and crisp production on her most recent single “Lucky Day” being matched with bright exterior shots and heavy emotions expressed physically.

Ahead of the album’s release next month, Evenson is sharing a different sort of visual, paired with a different mood for two of the project’s singles. For “Neighborhoods,” Evenson was joined by Kim Vi for an acoustic version of “Lucky Day” along with prior single “Strawberry,” with the duo stripping both tracks down to the bare essentials. “We filmed in my producer's (Nydge) backyard, which kind of felt full-circle in a way, considering all of these songs were recorded there!” Evenson shares. “‘Lucky Day’ and ‘Strawberry’ were both singles from this album rollout, but I do genuinely believe that both of these songs represent the album as a whole and show off the tenderness as well as the campiness of it.”

Check out the evening performance of both tracks below.
