Fancy Gap, the recently launched project from The Love Language’s Stuart McLamb and Charles Crossingham, have returned with “Home Again,” a rollicking jam featuring Daniel Womack from Futurebirds. The track follows the band’s 2025 single, “Gold Coast,” and their self-titled debut album from the previous year. On the new track, McLamb and Womack trade verses over an alt-country instrumental, buoyed by the subtle shimmer of a perfect organ performance and crunchy guitar melodies. McLamb, for my money, is one of the best songwriters working today, and “Home Again” is another example supporting the case.

Regarding the new cut, the band shares: “The song is about realizing the place that shaped you doesn’t exist the same way anymore, and coming to terms with that. While the lyrics reflect loss and change, the music keeps driving forward—the way cities do... We wanted the verses to feel like they’re chasing something, with the chorus hitting quick and clean. It’s rooted in traditional folk songwriting, but played with the energy of a band that doesn’t want to slow down.”

The track comes with an accompanying visual that was directed by the trio. “The video leans into moments of joy around our hometown, Raleigh, North Carolina, acknowledging that love and complexity can exist at the same time.” Check that out below.
