After releasing Cosplay in November, British rockers Sorry have returned with two new singles, “Billy Elliot“ and “Alone in Cologne.” The former is a cheeky, slow-building, tension-filled song built around an engaging delivery from vocalist Asha Lorenz. When the whole song coalesces, it turns into the soundtrack for a carnival that’s so much fun it’s actually pretty scary. “Alone in Cologne,” meanwhile, is more than just a witty rhyme: The song incorporates the sound you get when you dial a number on a landline, and is charmingly scrappy.

Regarding the new songs, the band shared: “I used to be close to you or somebody that I once knew.”
