Long-running orchestral group Vitamin String Quartet have been cranking out tributes to alt-rock and -pop heroes ranging from Nirvana to Björk for decades now, with literally hundreds of records gracing their discography. Lately they’ve received a new wave of attention thanks to their work being used in the popular alternate-history romance series Bridgerton, leading to a heavier touring schedule. It’s two of the staples familiar from that setlist that the band chose to perform for a recent “FLOOD Session” at LA’s Gold-Diggers: Teddy Swim’s hit “Lose Control” and Radiohead’s timeless grunge-era anthem “Creep”—the former of which will be featured in the latest season of Bridgerton.

“Recording ‘Lose Control’ live at Gold-Diggers for FLOOD was a really special experience,” shares violinist Rachel Grace. “It was one of those rare sessions where everything seamlessly came together—the connection between the musicians, the lighting, the camera team, and, of course, the location itself. Playing ‘Lose Control’ felt intimate yet raw, and it truly felt like we created something magical with everyone involved. Taking that arrangement on the road with Vitamin String Quartet and feeling audiences connect to it night after night has been incredible. And now, knowing the song is part of the new season of Bridgerton feels surreal—it’s such a beautiful full-circle moment for us.”
