After releasing a pair of EPs independently in 2023 and 2024, and a slew of singles last year, the now-19-year-old West Texas songwriter Solya is gearing up to drop her debut album this Friday, with Queen of Texas building upon those four songs released in 2025 with six more. Before the album drops, though, Solya filmed a “Neighborhoods” session in Buffalo Gap, Texas (outside of Abilene) where she performed acoustic solo versions of the pre-released album tracks “Movie Star” and “Tell Me It’s Over”—the latter of which, as she notes, chronicles the “liberation” she experienced after stepping away from “a toxic relationship.”

Solya is already in the midst of her tour in support of Queen of Texas, with a set of dates later this week closing out the Texan portion of the itinerary before picking things up again in late May with shows spanning North America. Check out the full list of dates and purchase tickets here.
