Thundercat is gearing up to release his new album Distracted on April 3 via Brainfeeder, and ahead of that release date he’s unveiled another new single. “ThunderWave” co-stars Willow and follows previously released tracks “She Knows Too Much” (featuring a posthumous verse from Mac Miller),” “I Did This to Myself” (with Lil Yachty and Flying Lotus),” and “I Wish I Didn’t Waste Your Time.” This latest cut is built around a mesmerizing bass line from Mr. Cat and some charmingly sparkling synth melodies. Willow turns in a rather scintillating vocal performance and also handles the guitar part.

“Willow, the weeping, the whimsy, the whispy, the wizard,” Thundercat shared to introduce the track and its special guest. “Grateful for the opportunity to create and spend time with such a beautiful human. Our journey together has been quite a fun one. Creating this song together, felt very much like the real us. So happy to be able to share.”
