It may not garner the attention of the bigger annual music fests, but every spring since 2012, Treefort has been transforming downtown Boise, Idaho into a sprawling, multi-venue celebration of indie music, art, and DIY culture. Although the programming stretches well beyond music—branching into food, film, comedy, literature, and beyond—at its core this community-driven festival is all about championing new and eclectic sounds. The 2026 edition boasted one of their most impressive lineups to date, headlined by Magdalena Bay, Geese, and Father John Misty, along with an ambitious array of exciting newcomers and indie favorites, including Blondshell, Gelli Haha, Haute & Freddy, Samia, flipturn, hemlocke springs, Girl Tones, INJI, and dozens more.
