Weezer have returned with a new single called “Shine Again,” which the band first distributed to fans via a USB stick at an intimate rooftop concert in Venice Beach last Friday. The song marks their first single on new label home, Reprise Records.

The Venice Beach gig was performed just one day after the band announced a 32-city North American arena tour for this fall entitled “Weezer: The Gathering,” set to include special guests The Shins and Silversun Pickups.

That rooftop gig—wherein they performed classic hits and even got Best Coast’s Bethany Cosentino to join in on their 2014 collab “Go Away,” which is going viral these days, for some reason—was part of “Weezer: The Gathering - Initiation Week,” which included some other shows across LA. It led, apparently, to “Shine Again,” which was initially distributed to “Gathering”-goers via USB. Now, the song is available for everyone to hear. Check it out below.
