Thomas Bangalter, celebrated for his work as one-half of Daft Punk and a recent solo foray into orchestral music for ballets, has announced a new album entitled MirageBallet for 16 Dancers. The ballet was created by choreographer Damien Jalet and contemporary artist Kōhei Nawa. Alongside news of the album, Bangalter has shared a trailer teasing the music and has revealed that an extract from the release, “Mirage: part. II,” will arrive on streaming services tomorrow.

The album was originally commissioned by the Ballet of the Grand Théâtre de Genève, and the premiere took place on May 6, 2025 at the Grand Théâtre de Genève. Check out the trailer for Mirage below.
