Jana Bahrich has been amassing hype throughout the 2020s with a series of EPs (including 2021’s Wading) released under the Francis of Delirium moniker, as well as through securing opening slots for the likes of The 1975 and Soccer Mommy while still fresh out of high school. Fast forward to 2026 and she’s gearing up to release her second full-length collection of dreamy alt-pop, Run, Run Pure Beauty, and gearing up for her biggest headlining tour to date, with its North American leg kicking off in October.

Yet none of this global exposure has had much of an impact on what a day off looks like for Bahrich. Checking in from Luxembourg, where the artist was raised, she lays out what a perfect day looks like as she bikes around the Western European nation, from breakfast at the local bakery, to a stop at the guitar shop, to lunch and drinks with family and friends. And there’s no more rock-star end to the day than coming home to your cat for some pre-bedtime cuddles.

You can pre-order Run, Run Pure Beauty ahead of its release this Friday here, and find all of Francis of Delirium’s upcoming tour stops here. Scroll on for her photos documenting her perfect day in Luxembourg, including a gentle flex about Europe’s transit system and a bonus lazy river (or lazy reservoir) ride that’s a staple of any perfect perfect day.

My perfect day in Luxembourg starts with coffee at home, journalling, and then a trip to Au Pain de Mary, my local bakery, for their little chocolate breads.

After that, I stop at Joao Godinho’s guitar shop. He used to run it from the basement of his house, now he’s set up in Bonnevoie. Joao is one of those people that makes you happy every time you see him. He takes excellent care of your instruments, really cares about what he does, and I like the chaos of his space. I went in because my guitar is making this awful buzzing noise. I noodled around with some of his guitars in the meantime.

The best and only restaurant that exists in Luxembourg is Manzoku, in my opinion. My parents are done teaching early, so I biked over and met them for lunch. In Luxembourg, public transport is free and very good, but biking is still my favorite way to get around.

I always get the tonkotsu with eggplant.

A day cannot be perfect without making something. We’ve been home from playing shows for a few days, so Ninon has been coming over to do some writing for her project.

In the evening, if there’s a good show on at Rotondes, I’ll try to catch that or a movie at Cinematheque. But on this perfect day, I meet up with my friend Nicole in town.

We walk over to Mikrokosmos, a bar in the park Kinekswissrun by Gudde Wellen. Nicole’s sister is working. Free beer, sunset, catchup, and bike back home.

Home with my cat for night time cuddle.

Honorable mention for ways to spend a perfect day goes to: going to the Stausee in the north of Luxembourg with a small inflatable boat, coronazeros, and a book—floating on the river far away from anyone else and reading.
