Of course, Twitter is a complicated place. It’s an interesting/frustrating mix of Normals, celebrities, companies, brands, pets, and fake things that are either very good, very bad, or somewhere in between in their success in brevity on social media. NASA’s Twitter account is an undoubtable, forever entry in the first category. If Twitter ever collapsed, I’d argue saving it just for @NASA to keep on tweeting because they are #doingitright.
What’s our new cover image? It’s @Astro_Reid from Tuesday’s @Space_Station#spacewalk. More: http://t.co/fb6sKg0YBKpic.twitter.com/Qyrk91saV9

In addition to pictures of #space, which frankly never get old, they Tweet about weather. FROM SPACE.

And the seasons. FROM SPACE.
Fall colors have started showing up on the landscape of North America seen here on Sept. 26 http://t.co/ne6TdLze33pic.twitter.com/QyJaIfD5IW — NASA (@NASA) September 30, 2014
They keep us up to date on solar flares:

They have a great sense of humor:

They win any made-up national trending hashtag day:

They live-tweet history:

No one does sunrises like them (from @Astro_Reid):

You can always check to see who’s currently on the International Space Station, and you should definitely make sure to follow them on Twitter, too. (Currently, it’s: @Astro_Alex, @MSuraev, and @Astro_Reid)
