Wolf Alice are gearing up for their Finsbury Park gig in London on Sunday with a surprise treat for fans all over the world: The band has announced the release of three B-sides that were recorded during the sessions for The Clearing. The first pre-release offering is “Gospel Oak,” while both “Hit the Sky” and a cover of The Roches’ “Hammond Song”—featuring two of the band’s “fave singers,” Julia Cumming and former FRIGS band leader Bria Salmena—will arrive digitally in the coming weeks. “These are a few songs we made during The Clearing that didn’t make it on the final record,” the band shared, “but are ones we love very much.”
The EP will arrive digitally and as a 7-inch single on August 21 in honor of the one-year anniversary of The Clearing. Check out “Gospel Oak” below, pre-order B-Sides here, and read our digital cover story starring Wolf Alice here.
