Back in February, Lana Del Rey unveiled “White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter,” which was written by Lana alongside her sister Chuck Grant, her brother-in-law Jason Pickens, and her husband Jeremy Dufrene. Earlier that month, she shared on Instagram that her wildly anticipated new LP Stove would arrive “in approximately three months.” Well, that deadline has come and passed, but Lana did provide an update for fans via Instagram yesterday, and the news makes the delay well worth the wait.
While getting Stove ready for release, Lana ended up making an entire second album, which should also see the light of day soon. It looks like Stove remains the title for the long-fabled “country“ album. Regarding its status, she wrote: “Stove is so lovely and intact as it was intended to be—a classic album if I may say, a lot of of which we’ve toured and you’ve heard—but not all of it. Thank you to everybody involved.”
Regarding the second LP, which now has cover art, Lana added: “And as the years went by, came a beautiful, secondary album… A commentary of sorts on everything that has been going on, and the patience that was required—and the trust I had to have that not all the things that weren’t working was just because of me.”
