Folktronica outfit and instant “impossible to Google” Hall of Famers @ are back with “Punish My Mind,” the latest track to be featured on the Philadelphia duo’s second album and debut for 4AD, Autosmile. The track is built around delicately strummed acoustic guitars and surprisingly piercing lyrics: “When I try to punish my body, nothing is ever enough,” the band’s Victoria Rose and Stone Filipczak sing. “When I try to punish my body, each new sensation I learn to love.”

“‘Punish My Mind’ is a chill song about self-torture that’s maybe the oldest recording on the album,” the duo shared. “It has a fat wind arrangement and a lot of vocal harmonies. We hope you like it.” I sure do!

You can check out the single via its music video, directed by Filipczak, below. You can also pre-order Autosmile here ahead of its October 16 release.
