Revenge Wife, the project of HOLYCHILD frontwoman Liz Nistico, has announced that her debut solo album Alien Witch will arrive on September 30. Following a string of singles dating back to 2021, the self-produced album is preceded by the track “What If It Is Me?!,” which arrives with a music video that was directed, edited, and hand-drawn by Nistico. The clip was filmed by cinematographer Carlos Cabrera-Mayol.
Regarding the cut, Nistico said: “To me, this song is Dave Matthews with the windows down, running through a field of sunflowers. This song is so playful, like, what if it all works out? What if I’m exactly who I think? What if it is me?! I wrote this song during COVID on my ukulele (‘back when the bars were open’). It feels like everything is possible, I could be anyone or anything, I just haven’t made the leap yet.”
