beabadoobee has shared “Memories,” which will appear on her forthcoming LP Pylon, due September 18 via Dirty Hit and Interscope Records.
According to Bea, the track is “one of the happiest songs on the album,” though lyrically, it deals with “clinging onto ideas that should make me happy but actually make me feel sad, because I wish they were just moments I lived in forever.”
The genesis of Pylon came from Beabadoobee writing songs in hotel rooms while on tour, reminiscent of her early days of writing songs alone. She said Pylon “reminded me a lot of how I wrote songs at 17, alone in my bedroom, feeling sad as fuck.”
