Thao has teamed up with fellow indie-rock hero Neko Case for a new single entitled “Catch as Catch Can,” which will be included on the former’s new LP, Show Me. Regarding the collab, Thao shared that it was “a dream come true” for her. “So many thousands of miles logged on tour have had her voice as the soundtrack. Whenever I put on Fox Confessor Brings the Flood I see mountains and desert and feel my heart in my throat. I’ve been so honored and fortunate to get to open for Neko a few different times over the years. Her career trajectory and how she operates in this industry has always inspired me. When I first heard her majestic voice on this song I teared up.”
Arriving October 30 via Kill Rock Stars, Show Me was produced by Thao alongside Nate Brenner (also a co-writer) and Merrill Garbus of Tune-Yards, who’s also featured as a guest artist alongside The Linda Lindas and Black Pumas’ Adrian Quesada (and, of course, Neko).
