Dating back to 1999, tens of thousands of music fans have celebrated the UK’s bank holiday weekend with simultaneous music festivals taking place in Reading and Leeds, England. While Reading is the older of the two events, with origins as a jazz fest beginning in 1961, Leeds is famous for its late-night forest sets, relentless Northern energy, and crowds that seemingly never sleep.
Photographer Kimberley Ross made the journey to Leeds to take in the spectacle this year, capturing standout sets from Fontaines D.C., Raye, Slayyyter, Kneecap, Adéla, and many more—as well as the newly redesigned arena, featuring a massive new walkway at The Grid main stage.
