The War on Drugs are back with “Who’s That,” their first new music since 2022 which follows their invigorating 2024 live LP. The track was written and produced by the band’s founder and creative lead, Adam Granduciel at his LA studio. “‘Who’s That’ was written in 10 minutes somewhere between first coffee and school drop off,” he shared. “It’s a song about trying to love yourself despite things we can’t always control, like the anxiety, depression and self doubt that may stand in the way of living the life we truly desire.”
The track is released alongside a Max Flick–directed video featuring Granduciel on a night time wandering of Burbank, the LA enclave in which his studio resides. Check out the clip for “Who’s That” below. Welcome back, Drugs.
