While most of our festival coverage is dedicated to the growing number of must-attend music events spanning the globe, this year we were on site for the annual Toronto International Film Festival, where FLOOD photographer Mallory Turner connected with a handful of the actors and filmmakers making a splash in 2026. Even if the faces captured below aren’t familiar to you now, it’s only a matter of time before you become well-acquainted. It may even be imminent, as the titles presented at TIFF will soon reemerge at a theater (or streaming hub) near you.
Among the handful of subjects, we caught up with Fra Fee and Stuart Martin from Zack Snyder’s new war film The Last Photograph; Rohan Campbell from the Josh Hartnett–starring thriller series Below; June Laporte from the Jon Hamm–starring thriller series American Hostage; Joshua Obra, Milan Deng, Dashawn Blackwood, and Ericka Leobrera from the local favorite Sunburn; Sneha Kumari of the Indian biographical film Phoolan (along with director Richie Mehta), Ezra Franky and Sam Krochmal from the mystery series Yaga starring The Matrix’s Carrie-Anne Moss and Heated Rivalry’s Hudson Williams; and The Dreamed Adventure director Valeska Grisebach.
Check out all of those portraits below.
