Last year, Kim Deal performed at London’s Barbican Estate, cooking up orchestrated versions of her solo music and Breeders songs. The show was recorded and will be released as a live album and film entitled Live at the Barbican on November 13.
Regarding the performance, Deal said: “I invited myself! That’s how I came to play Nobody Loves You More at the Barbican. Years ago, I had worked with Chris Sharp at the 4AD label and I knew he was currently at The Barbican. So, I reached out to dear Chris and said I have orchestration on this record. I would love to be able to perform these songs with an actual orchestra. And Chris said yes, we’d love to have you.”
