Shabazz Palaces have unveiled the single “Tongue in Chic,” which will be featured on Ish Butler’s forthcoming LP Style Sport. The old-school funk banger features Butler alongside bassist Gerald “Tugboat” Turner, guitarist/keyboardist Thaddeus “Thaddillac” Turner, and the album’s co-producer Erik Blood, also on guitar.
Alongside news of the new single, Shabazz Palaces shared details of a listening party in Los Angeles taking place tonight ahead of the record’s proper release on October 23 via Sub Pop. The 21+ free event is set for Gold Line Bar from 6 to 8 p.m. PT, and attendance is first come, first served.
