ACL 2026 was one for the books. It was my fifth year shooting for FLOOD, and it took that long to get the elusive “mud fest.” It was definitely an experience that I enjoyed for the most part—I feel like it added to the vibes, and with the cooler weather and cloudy skies, it was really nice. That being said, walking through the mud took a huge toll on my legs, and I had to learn to navigate around the super-slippery parts. My favorite part of the weekend had to have been watching everyone take on the rain in different ways, especially with their choice of footwear—or no shoes at all!
