U2 have announced Carnaval de Luz Presents: The Greatest Show on Earth, a 2027 stadium tour featuring support from Beck. The tour is named after their forthcoming 16th studio album, Carnaval de Luz, as well as their new Brian Eno co-written single “The Greatest Show on Earth,” which is out today with a video directed by Anton Corbijn.
Regarding the run, the band shared: “The Greatest Show on Earth? Now that’s a throwdown. It’s a dare, to ourselves as much as anyone, to try and have the best night of anybody’s life. A bit of showman, a bit of shaman, a riot of colour, unreasonable guitar, bass and drums, and tunes you can hold onto. Because if people are gonna show up, we certainly are.”
Check out the video for “The Greatest Show on Earth” below, which was filmed in the California desert. As of now, U2 will hit the following cities: Mexico City on February 23 and 26; São Paulo on March 10 and 12; and Buenos Aires on March 23 and 25. Pre-order Carnaval de Luz here.
