Katie Dey, Universal Will

Trading her typical hyperpop textures for heavy rock notes, the Australian pop experimentalist focuses her sights on the rise of technofascism in the wake of an online coming-of-age.

Boys Noize, 7LLVSION

Made bigger and brawnier by his recent collaboration with Nine Inch Nails, the German-Iraqi electronic producer’s first new solo album in five years proves the most maximal of his career.

Catherine Elicson, River of Fat

Quietly defiant and beautifully insular, the Empath vocalist’s solo debut is a capsule of self-discovery and experimentation outside the confines of any kind of relationship structure.

Aimee Mann, Sarah Silverman, and Roy Choi are set for a benefit evening at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles on November 12. All proceeds will aid War Child’s work supporting children and families living with war and will be matched by a donor up to $150,000.

Throughout the evening, Mann will play an acoustic set, Silverman will perform a short comedy set, and Choi will offer remarks in addition to serving an all-you-can-eat dinner with Kogi BBQ. Additionally, War Child Founder Dr. Samantha Nutt and other notable supporters of the humanitarian organization will speak.

There will also be an open bar with premium cocktails provided by Wolfgang Puck and a live auction. Visit War Child’s official website for ticket information and to donate.
