Aussie rocker Courtney Barnett has teamed up with everyone’s favorite Detroiter Jack White for a new single, which will be released as part of Third Man‘s Blue Series on October 16. The single’s A-side, “Boxing Day Blues Revisited” is an epilogue to the eponymous track on last year’s Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit.
The B-side is a cover of “Shivers” by fellow Australians Boys Next Door, which was written by Rowland S. Howard and sung by Nick Cave. Listen to Barnett’s take on the slow-burning ballad below.
Courtney Barnett has also announced a deluxe version of Sometimes I Sit and Think, which will feature six new live recordings from Electric Lady Studios and a cover of John Cale’s “Close Watch.” See the detailed tracklist below. The deluxe edition will be available as a box set, limited edition LP, and digital set, and will also feature a poster and polaroids taken by Barnett.
