Weezer have had a fairly quiet 2015; we haven’t heard from the band since they released Everything Will Be Alright in the End last fall. This morning, though, they dropped a new video and single called “Thank God for Girls.” The video features a man being fed a giant plate of cannolis by one of the girls for whom the band apparently believes we should give thanks.
The track itself is a little bit of a departure for Weezer—perhaps still inspired by the band’s 2009 collaboration with Lil Wayne, singer Rivers Cuomo spits a few verses over a jaunty, piano-driven rhythm. You can check it out for yourself below.
While there’s no indication as to whether “Thank God for Girls” is part of a larger project, the single is available now on all the major streaming and downloading services.
