Christmas ads (or adverts as they like to call them) are a big deal in England. They wait for the commercials, they talk about them, they bet on them, and actually get excited when they arrive on the telly every year. While the Brits are just now checking their schedules (pronounced shed-uals) for the newest commercials from M&S and John Lewis and warmly reminiscing about last year’s ads, Burberry has gone right ahead and already released its 2015 Christmas video. Yes, it is a little nuts to drop a holiday ad now, considering it’s still the beginning of November, but this video is pretty incredible.
To showcase its winter fashion line—and honor the fifteenth anniversary of Billy Elliot—Burberry gathered together some of the UK’s finest exports and had them recreate the iconic opening scene of the heartwarming film. So, without further ado, watch Sir Elton John, Naomi Campbell, George Ezra, James Corden, Romeo Beckham, and more fly through the air to T. Rex’s “Cosmic Dancer.” Double points to Julie Walters—Billy’s tough, but lovable dance instructor from the original film—for taking time out of her quiet farm life to kill it with her monogrammed scarf and gold trench coat.
