Brian Posehn in “Uncle Nick”

Ah, the drunk uncle. A staple of holiday film canon. And while Bobby Moynihan’s recurring SNL character of the same name may be the best—which is to say, the most confused and racist—in the business, perpetual That Guy Brian Posehn is ready to give him a run for his money.

As The A.V. Club reports, Posehn will be taking on the titular role in the upcoming film Uncle Nick. The film takes place over a single night at a family holiday party—where, if the trailer is any indication, his presence isn’t necessarily edifying. Guard your eggnog and see for yourself below.

Uncle Nick, which also features Scott Adsit of 30 Rock, Missi Pyle, and Paget Brewster, is out December 4.
