Missy Elliott‘s last record, The Cookbook, came out a decade ago, and we haven’t heard new music from her since 2012’s “Triple Threat” and “9th Inning.” It’s been so long since Missy was part the public consciousness, in fact, that the level of hype her appearance at the Super Bowl generated this year overwhelmed even her.
Now, she’s about to find herself at the center of even more attention. This morning, she dropped her first video in three years, for the song “WTF (Where They From).” The track was produced by Pharrell, who also pops up with a guest verse (and makes an appearance in the video in puppet form).
