If you weren’t there, the inaugural FLOODfest earlier this year was bangin’, and featured performances from some of our favorite acts including Spoon, Run the Jewels, Courtney Barnett, Viet Cong, King Tuff, and many more. Obviously, we’re going to do it again in 2016, and guess what? We want you to play it.
Presented by premier Battle of the Bands honchos Ernie Ball, PLAY FLOODfest is offering the opportunity for an unsigned act to join our bill this March in Austin. And if you win, not only will you get stage time, but you’ll also get a $5,000 cash prize, an ad spread in FLOOD Magazine, a guitar string and instrument endorsement from Ernie Ball and Ernie Ball Music Man, respectively, and thousands of dollars more in prizes from our partners (Burton, DTS, DW, Zildjian, Blackstar, Mark Bass, Electro-Voice, just to start).
The contest begins on New Year’s Day, when you can upload your original music to ErnieBall.com/PLAY. Next, submissions will be narrowed down on February 29 to a hundred acts based on social media aggregation, at which point we’ll sit down along with our friends at Ernie Ball and pick a winner.
