WATCH: Santa Is a Silver Fox in the Red-Band Trailer for Season Two of “Man Seeking Woman”

More opportunities to watch Jay Baruchel dance arrive January 6 on FXX.

Before he was out of high school, Jay Baruchel had already received pitching lessons from Pedro Martinez, played zombie dice in Are You Afraid of the Dark?, and, of course, got John Paul Jones to sign his Zeppelin superfan shirt in Almost Famous. It was a banner career from the outset, and Baruchel would’ve been forgiven if he had chosen to retreat to an island to count his Nickelodeon residual money.

But thankfully this was not the case, and Baruchel has gone on from relatably awkward child star to relatably awkward leading man. Man Seeking Woman was an under-the-radar treat this past year that sent Baruchel to the evolving frontlines of modern dating. Based on Simon Rich’s collection of short stories called The Last Girlfriend on Earth, the show uses absurdist humor and elaborate metaphors to document the blumbering attempts of an everyman, Josh Greenberg, to not make an ass out of himself while looking for love (he largely fails to do so, mainly thanks to his ridiculous dancing, his inability to finish Infinite Jest, and the bad influence of his best friend Mike—played by Eric Andre of The Eric Andre Show).

Season two is all ready to go, and will premiere on Wednesday, January 6, back on FXX. You can watch a NSFW, red-band trailer for the new season below.
