The New York Times has confirmed that LCD Soundsystem will be reuniting for this year’s Coachella. They’ll be joined at the top of the bill by Axl Rose and Slash, who are reuniting under the Guns N’ Roses name for the first time since 1996.
Consequence of Sound first reported that LCD Soundsystem would be reuniting back in October, though those reports were angrily denied by a representative for DFA Records, the band’s label. Still, the rumors persisted, and the surprise appearance of a new recording from the group on Christmas certainly didn’t do much to dispel them.
It’s not yet known whether either band will be touring—neither would comment for the New York Times‘ story—but both groups will be playing both weekends of Coachella this year. Uh, you may want to get tickets now.
