After some rumors about the possibility of a new Dolce & Gabbana line catering to Middle Eastern women—actually started by Stefano Gabbana, himself—swirled around the fashion line’s SS16 presentation last summer, today’s official announcement of the Abaya Collection isn’t exactly a surprise, but it’s definitely an exciting step for the brand.

The Italian designers’ latest collection pairs well with most of the patterns and textures seen in July’s Spring/Summer presentation, while bringing a completely new market into their luxurious wheelhouse. The Abaya Collection uses pops of color, delicate lace linings, and floral details effectively throughout the traditional beige and black offerings.

Check out some of the pieces from the upcoming collection—which will now be reaching a population that has been spending hundreds of billions of dollars on apparel and accessories in recent years—courtesy of Style.com below.
