Cullen Omori

Chicago’s Smith Westerns split up in December 2014, leaving behind three albums of increasingly smooth and shiny glam-pop. Frontman Cullen Omori is prepping his solo debut New Misery, and if lead single “Cinnamon” is any indication, it’s a continuation of his old band’s trajectory.

In the video, which you can watch below, an institutionalized Omori wanders city streets, pining for a mysterious woman, while the nostalgic, synth-driven track plays along. You’re the one who’s crazy.
