Mind Spiders are kind of like a Dukes of Stratosphear for the twenty-first century—a semi-retro side-project that somewhat unexpectedly took on a life and style of its own. Mark Ryan of Fort Worth, Texas, started the group as a studio project between Marked Men commitments, but in the wake of the Jay Reatard–fueled garage explosion, the Spiders were spun up in their own scene.
Five years after the band’s self-titled debut, Ryan is about to release the fourth Mind Spiders album—Prosthesis, which comes out on Dirtnap in March. The first track, “Cold,” is actually something of a departure for the group—a little more Wipers than Buzzcocks, a little more doomsday than sick day.
Prosthesis tracklisting
1. Rip It Out
2. No Filter
3. Running
4. Cold
5. Prosthesis

Prosthesis is out March 12 on Dirtnap.
