Chicago gadabouts Twin Peaks have steadily risen from that city’s sturdy DIY scene to the main stage of festivals around the world on the back of their two rowdy and immensely tuneful LPs. Now, the group have announced their third album.
Down in Heaven was recorded last summer in Western Massachusetts in a home studio, where the band was free to explore new sounds and textures. Lead single “Walk to the One You Love,” which you can hear below, shows just what they’ve been up to: with its playful acoustic guitar vamping and twangy T. Rex leads, the song may as well have been recorded in the middle of a porch-pickin’ session. Give it a listen and check out the album info—as well as a handful of tour dates—below.
