When you hear a song so often on the radio, it’s always refreshing to hear an alternate version, especially when it’s as lovely as Vance Joy’s stripped-down “Riptide.” For Ernie Ball‘s “Set Me Up” session, James Keogh broke down his hit song, giving listeners and fans some insight on the beginning chords and the lines that came with it.

While the track’s chords may have been created on a guitar, “Riptide” became a hit thanks to a ukulele—which Keogh used for this more intimate version of the song. Be part of this special private performance by just pressing play.
