Welp, it looks like we’ve found the weirdest big-budget film of the year: Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s Sausage Party, which tells the story of “one sausage’s quest to discover the truth about his existence.” Yes, you read that correctly. This is an animated film about an item of food having an existential crisis. Guess it happens to all of us.
The film, which features a ridiculous list of voice actors (Kristen Wiig, Jonah Hill, Paul Rudd, Edward Norton, Salma Hayek, James Franco, and Rogen himself, to pick a few), now has a very R-rated trailer ahead of its summer release. Think of it like a POW movie in the Toy Story dimension.
