As Demetri Martin is quick to point out, calling someone a “cat-person” can be interpreted in some pretty weird ways. With that in mind, you should probably be thinking of the term “People-Vultures” in the weirdest ways possible given its source: the Australian rock chameleons King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard.
For the record, there were six different animals mentioned in two previous sentences alone, so that should kind of lay the groundwork for the primal state of mind needed in advance of their upcoming album Nonagon Infinity—the electrified follow-up to last year’s acoustic barn party Paper Mâché Dream Balloon. The band has shared one Kool-Aid–worthy video thus far, for the track “Gamma Knife,” and ahead of the April 29 album release, they’ve sicced the “People-Vultures” upon us. Swarm on in below.
Nonagon Infinity is out April 29 via ATO.
