Indie darlings Bleached just announced a brand new 7” EP called For The Feel, slated to be released digitally, on July 22, and on a limited edition 7” on September 16 (via Dead Oceans). The new EP will include two covers; the Coasters’ classic “Poison Ivy” and “Born To Kill” by The Damned. You can stream the beachy new title track below (via Stereogum).

“‘For The Feel’ is a song we originally wrote for our full length but it didn’t sound right once recorded so we held off on putting it on the record,” the band said of the album’s title track. “Finally when it came down to recording it again we were really inspired by the sound of The Kinks, we even used The Kinks amp. I’m really glad we waited to release this song because now it’s perfect.”

If you live in the LA area, you can catch Bleached on Friday June 27 at The Echoplex in Los Angeles and Saturday August 2 at Burger a-Go-Go! at The Observatory in Santa Ana. Be on the lookout for “For The Feel” in your local indie record store on September 16.
