Emerging out of the dissolution of Fun Fun Fun Fest, Sound on Sound arrived as a new post-summer affair with a stacked lineup and a hilarious venue: the Sherwood Forest Faire—a permanent renaissance village outside Austin, featuring period-accurate buildings and stages. Those buildings and stages were transformed this past weekend to accommodate something a little more modern than usual, including electric guitars and other heathenry.

Rain caused a bit of problems throughout the weekend—most notably on Sunday when a portion of the day had to be cancelled—but most of it went off rain or shine, and our photographer Andy Sawyer was there to take it all in. Check out his photos from the weekend below.
