Doing their best to shake off any naysayers who claim that the Bay Area music scene is dying and moving to Los Angeles, The Dodos are back (though they never really went anywhere) with Individ, their second album in as many years, along with a fantastic new song, “Competition.”
Working under the theory that “the best time to make a record is right after you’ve finished one,” The Dodos’ latest is as catchy as anything the group has ever written. It’s manic and cohesive at the same time—kind of like XTC on Quaaludes.
Have a look at the Individ tracklist and album art, and take a listen to “Competition” below.
